MHT-CET is the state-level entrance exam for Maharashtra engineering colleges, while JEE Main is national-level. MHT-CET is based entirely on Maharashtra State Board syllabus (Class 11-12), has no negative marking, and gives admission to colleges in Maharashtra including COEP, VJTI, and ICT. JEE Main is based on CBSE/NCERT and opens options across India including NITs.
The ideal time to start MHT-CET preparation is after Class 10th (entering Class 11). This gives students 2 full years to cover the State Board syllabus thoroughly while building strong concepts. However, we also offer 1-year programs for Class 12 students and droppers. Since CET is based on Board syllabus, strong Board preparation automatically helps in CET.
No, there is no negative marking in MHT-CET. This makes strategic attempting very important. Physics and Chemistry papers have +1 mark for each correct answer, while Mathematics has +2 marks. Since there's no penalty for wrong answers, students should attempt all questions. Our coaching focuses on speed and accuracy to maximize attempts within the time limit.
Yes, we provide comfortable hostel facilities for outstation students with nutritious food, 24/7 security, and study-friendly environment. Our hostels are located near the coaching center for easy commute. Separate hostels for boys and girls are available with warden supervision.
